NOTICe Annual Meeting
Join us for our Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 19th. We will hear from our officers on annual reports, elect our 2027 Board of Directors and more fun to be announced. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss this exciting evening!
2nd Annual Canal Pub Crawl
We have fun afternoon of history and pints planned for you this year, and here is a peak of what you can expect.
Hear and see the history of the old Alexandria Canal hidden beneath Old Town North’s lively pubs and watering holes.
1. Gables Old Town North - check in and learn about the Canal. You’ll visit the Canal diorama inside the exclusive Gables with exciting photos of what’s below the ground and of Canal construction and operation.
2. St Elmo’s coffee & Pub - enjoy a beer or cocktail- hear stories of real people who lived, worked and kanoodled along the Canal - the enslaved workers, the boatmen, the riff-raff and the lovers. Was there a lovers’ lane in 1830’s Alexandria ?
3. Hanks Oyster Bar - hit the bar at OTN’s most popular fish venue - hear about Alexandria’s historic fish trade and canal commodity. Did George Washington love fish and canals?
4. T J Stone’s - Stop in at TJ’s, OTN locals sports bar and trivia haunt. Hear about stone making & shipping along the Canal’s turning basin at the former site of historic Limestone Kiln. Where there ghosts on the Canal? Come find out.
5. Royal Restaurant - visit the Royal bar for some curated canal fare. Learn about the historic Tivoli beer - what Alexandria immigrant Robert Portner did when the civil war troops shut down the canal. Spoiler alert: we got them drunk.

NOTICe At The Aces
Join us on Monday, July 20th for North Old Town Night with the Alexandria Aces. Come out and support the local home team and rep our amazing neighborhood! First Pitch is at 6:30pm, but show up early for a small Social Hour. Tickets can be purchased in advance from The Aces and at the gate with cash or Venmo.
The first 10 members to arrive at the NOTICe Table will receive a FREE ticket to the game!
June 2026: NOTICe Social
Join us at Hank’s Oyster Bar for our June NOTICe Social on Monday, June 15th. This will be our last Social before we take a short break for the summer months.
There will not be a program or special speaker, just an opportunity to socialize with fellow NOTICe members and neighbors. The event is FREE and open to all and all refreshments are on the individual.
Walk-Ins are welcome, but RSVP’s are encourged to help us get an idea of attendance to share with the venue for planning. RSVP’s can be taken HERE.
March NOTICe Social
Springs return to OTN is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate then at our next NOTICe Social!
Join us at St Elmo’s Coffee Pub on Thursday, March 19th at 5pm to welcome Spring. Join in the fun by wearing your winter whites or your festive spring colors and socialize with fellow friends and neighbors. St Elmo’s a popular spot for hanging out in our neighborhood and serves everything from an afternoon coffee to a fun, festive cocktail. And you can always find a new favorite wine or beer in their ever rotating selection
RSVP’s are being taken to help the venue plan, but walk-ins are always welcome.
The NOTICe Socials are FREE to attend and all refreshments are on the individual. This is a great time to catch up with neighbors and meet new friends. Don’t forget to invite your neighbors who you think should be a member of NOTICe and introduce them to the fun.
February NOTICe Social
Come ring in the Year of The Horse at our next NOTICe Social. We will gather at the A-Lounge and Bar in the Hotel AKA on Tuesday, February 17th from 5pm-7pm. We encourage everyone to wear red to bring in luck and good fortune for the New Year. And who doesn’t need that?
